Looking for a weekend project?

Katey (aka ryn) has designed this fun series of small State of canvases.  They are just big enough for a checkbook insert or pillow insert or door hanger or collage a few together and make a big statement.

Here's the cool part.  Since they are small, they are perfectly do-able in a weekend. Yes, this means one relaxing weekend of stitching and you have something fun to show for it.  Think holiday gift giving.

Check out these threads.  Nice range of fun stuff to play with.  Silk, Petite Silk Lamé Braid, Neon Rays+, Kreinik and of course beads.  The beads steal the show.  They are tiny 1.8mm cubes.  So cool.  So new and exciting!  They just sit there and line up perfectly.  In real life the beads are pink with an aqua lining but once sewn on with purple beading thread they are perfect here. AWESOME!

Stitch guides are available for the entire series thanks to our friend and stitchguide artist Sheena, so whatever state you are in, there's a canvas for you!
