Jeweled Lotuses

Ready for the reveal?

Today was the third lesson of Bastet our Egyptian Cat Mystery Class!  We Bedecked, Bejeweled and Beadazzled the lotuses.  So fun!

We attached different types of beads with different techniques and beautiful threads.

There are two lotuses on the canvas, each at a 45 degree angle so each section of the flower has to change direction.  YIKES!  Okay, it's not that bad.  Just took a little planning on my part to make it easy for you.  If you are stitching along, read the instructions carefully and follow my notes for how to hold your canvas.

Stay tuned more details to evolve in three weeks!  I can hardly wait.

I love the beads and stitch together. can you tell us what stitch you used to get them to sit so nice. I have been looking for ideas for an easter egg canvas that i have and i think something like this would be wonderful as it would give it sparkle (the egg is purple) but not use expensive metallic threads.
