Totes, Glorious Totes!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

Happy Hannukah!

Happy Wednesday!

We have the most fabulous totes in the shop.  They are large and roomy (15" x 14" x 6.5" with 13" handles) made from oil cloth with the most luscious prints adorning their sides.  Too pretty for words and so affordable!  They have inside pockets too.  You are going to want to buy one and gift one.  Who could choose?  There are more pattern choices on the site.

Check out these cute little accessory pouches.  At 10" x 5" x 2" they will happily hold scissors, laying tools and more!

And just because they are cute we have big fluffy tassels.  At $10 each you really can't go wrong.  Use them as gift tags or to adorn a tote.  Oh heck, use them as key fobs that's what they were designed for.

More fun things are landing daily.  It's that magical time of year.

Too Much Fun!

This canvas is just too much fun.  I love every inch of it.  Yes, it is my design, but really, sometimes that isn't a good thing.  Sometimes it means you are too close to it.

But this canvas is just pure joy to stitch.  All my happy colors and a fun attitude to boot.

Today was lesson one of the Christmas Birds Mystery Class at Bedecked and Beadazzled! We get together either in person or virtually every 2 weeks ago and I reveal another section of the design stitched and guided.  We then spend the afternoon going over the stitches and threads and generally having a grand time.  If you'd like to join us, it's not too late.  We're happy to kit up the first lesson, send it off to you and get you on the list for the future lessons.

In lesson one, we focused on the green stripes behind the birds with a fun plaited stitch....

the lattice section with its little pops of fuchsia...

and the branch that the birds sit on!  They need a good solid base you know.  There's much more to follow with the next lesson in two short weeks.  It will be here before you know it.

Everyone in the class gets this darling Santa bird to hold their needles.  Isn't he cute?

Because we like to coordinate in a fun sort of way, we have matching scissor fobs

and super cool snap trays also available to complete the festivities.

Thanks for stopping by and following my adventures.  See you soon.

It's Snowing at the North Pole!

The much anticipated second lesson the the Melissa Shirley Christmas Village has shipped.  Threads and beads arrived and were packed, the lesson is now on it's way to you.

First we tackled landscaping, fluffy beaded foreground trees and sparkling beaded trees in the background.

You knew there would be lots of beads on this canvas.  Aren't the fluffy trees just the cutest?   In my mind, these trees are huge so they can be very dimensional.

This tree is far off in the sky so it needs to be much flatter.

Once the trees were complete we started with my favorite house the light green one on the left.  The roof is a candied confection of threads, special beads and trim.

Here's the entire village to date.

It's starting to come to life.  Hmmm, what will be in the next lesson?

Until next time.

It's a pink and green kinda Christmas

What could be cuter and more like me than a pink and green Christmas?

My tree was always decorated in purple lights until the Ravens came to town and then that sort of took the fun out of it for me.

So, now I do pink and lime.  See my house really does look like the store.

This year I decided you should join me on this journey into a pink and green Christmas.

So, we have walker bags embroidered with cute little trees.
Hot pink with lime tree and Lime with pink trees, available in both 11x 14 and 9 x 12.

Super cute snap trays and bead snap trays in fabulous shades of pink and green, some plain and some with Merry Christmas embroidered on them.  All just too cute.

And because our walker bags like to be embellished we have pink and green fobs to dress them up.

For those of you who prefer the red and green Christmas palette, I reordered last year's fun patterns

And we have fobs to adorn these bags too!

So, give us a call at 410.296.0405, and we'll send out your favorites.  Remember, it's not too early to start thinking Christmas.  Thanksgiving will be here next week.

New Faces, Old Friends

A great time was had by all!

This was out last visit of 2013 by the incomparable Brenda Hart.

Oh my! the ideas she has.  So, clever.

The stitch selected for the Ewe and Eye Candy Rush makes the snowman skiing look like he is speeding down hill even faster!

There's lots of great consulting and exchanging of ideas between Brenda and her students.

Here's just part of the outcome.

This Joy Juarez canvas is beautiful painted but wait until you see the stitches!

The Zecca Librarian needed bullion feet and a beak.

Monte and Kate came to visit for the first time.
It's so nice to put a face (or in this case, faces) with the name.

This is Shadow Dog from Eleanor Grosch.  Love it!  Check out the stitches.
I think I am going to have to stitch this one too.  It will of course have a stitchguide.

Linda is making progress on the elephant bath.  This piece is huge!

How cute is the wreath on this snowman.  The canvas is 12 ct!
That's going to be one super cute, quick to stitch holiday pillow!

The highlight of the yesterday was unveiling Palma's Alice in Wonderland table.  It is exquisite!

Here's student and teacher studying the masterpiece.  Great job ladies, you make an amazing team.

Our girl Graffiti didn't feel much like stitching.  She just wanted to relax.
This is the one place she comes without her sisters :-)

Wish you all could have been here.  We won't see Brenda until January I'm sure she will have stored up all kinds of great ideas by then.

FabFunky

With a byline like

"Making the world a little more fabulous, one picture at a time,"

how can you not love this line?

We are pleased to be representing this fab new line of handpainted canvases (available both retail and wholesale to shops) based on designs from a UK artist.

A few of our favorites are

 French Bulldog Cocktail

 James Bond Dog

Rabbit in Dress

And because we couldn't wait to stitchguide at least one, we chose the Sock Monkey Scooter to guide first.  Wait until you see it stitched.  He is going to jump off the canvas and into your heart.

The background is going to be great fun, not at all boring.   You know one of my mottos is that the background has to be fun enough to keep my attention and this one will do just that.

You can see all the fabulous-ness here.  Have a FabFunky day!

New Blog Feature

We're going to try something new.  See what you think.  I'll see what I think, which really means we'll see if I can keep it up.....
We've got lots of things going on and many of you are involved so I've added a couple of news features on the right side of the blog.

Anytime there is something special going on in the store I'll post it under Today's News.  Teachers in house, classes going on, celebrity sightings, shipments going out, evertite stretcher bars arriving.  Anything I think you should be in the know about.

Each of the Mystery with a Twist classes will also get it's own link.  Since they ship on sort of a rather loose schedule, you can look here, Club Updates, to see if the next lesson is about to ship, has shipped etc.

And up at the top of the page in case you missed it is a link will all the mystery classes from all time and the play by play of the blogs for each.  Kind of a fun walk down memory lane.

Okay, that's enough technology for today, back to stitching on Christmas birds!

Cats are like Potato Chips

You can't have just one!

Brand new magnets!  I'm sure you have names for all of them.  $16.00 each.  Available exclusively at Bedecked and Beadazzled.

And since you asked, here are my boys.  Love them all more everyday.

Hunter, who is always by my side.

Harold, the speed bump.  He's not moving for any one.

Max, my circus star.  He does awesome tricks.

Richie, who knows he is too cute for his own good.

And Dexter our newest love.  This will be his first Christmas with us.  He's a happy little lap of love.

Thanks for indulging me.
