Want to be a Honey Bee?

We love our customers!

There, it's that simple.

You are our friends and family.

We wanted to design a rewards club that is all about you —
Priority signups and discounts for you our loyal customers and friends.

Allow me to present the Honey Bees!

Being a Honey Bee is all about rewards for you!  Sign up to be a Honey Bee and we will send you a wonderful gift box in December guaranteed to make you smile.  Beyond the gifts and goodies in the box,  there are great opportunities for you, our loyal friends.

As a Honey Bee you will know the entire class schedule for B&B at the beginning of the year.  You can pick and choose your classes signing up for as many or as few as you like before they are announced to the entire community. You can always add more classes later but this allows you priority seating with your favorite teachers.  We often sell out.  Plan your year early!

We all love a discount and we love the newest and prettiest canvases, so why not combine the two. See a canvas you love but wish it were in a trunkshow so you could get it NOW and on sale?  No worries, as a Honey Bee twice a year you can say “I want my Honey Bee discount” and the canvas will be 20% OFF!*  It’s magic.

I’m planning a surprise canvas that will be stitch guided by me and will be available kitted.  As a Honey Bee, you get a discount. YAY!

You will be the first to know about sales and special happenings at B&B.

The yearly fee for being a Honey Bee is $250.  Sign up anytime you like.  Class lists for 2015 will be mailed in December in your gift box with Honey Bee early registration opening January 1.
One more perk, at the end of the calendar year 2015 you will receive two $50 gift certificates.  One can be used in the first half of 2016 and one in the second half of 2016. We’re giving part of your registration fee back to you!

The fine print:  Class deposits for Honey Bees will be $50/day of class at the time of signup with the balance of the deposit due when we announce the class on the website.  Final balance due one month before the class.  All deposits and honey bee fees are non refundable.

We realize that you will want your friends to take class with you, but remember they have to be a Honey Bee too to qualify for early registration.

Give us a call at 410.296.0405 to join the fun and register to be a honey bee.

* 20% Honey Bee discount can not be combined with any other specials and does not apply to project class canvases or mystery class canvases.

A little inspiration

It's been a busy week at B&B.  Geisha number two will be heading out to all of you next week.  Kits are packed and we are shipping.  We have new Kimberly Smith canvases that are a dream.  The final lesson of the playful squirrel is next week and with any luck the third installment of the count will be on it's way too.

With all that excitement I'm a little late posting pictures from Brenda's visit last week. So here goes....

Charley Harper birds....

The chefs have hats and aprons and don't you just love the mustache!

These Koi are going to be so elegant when finished.
The center one is being changed to orange to match his colors in real life.

Love the flowers on the Halloween Basket by Melissa Shirley!

The truck is going to be a fancy one with cool trim along the back when finished.

Love the turtle's back!  Quick, easy and so effective.

Beverlee brought these fabulous metal beetles to class to add to her canvas.  So cool!

Everyone loves the Laurel Burch horses.
This version is going to be just as stunning as the last one.

Brenda loves designing small patterns to embellish fabrics.  A cross stitch here, a bead there.  a tent stitch and voila it's gorgeous.

So many inspirations.  Gotta get busy and stitch.  See you soon.

Who Goes There?

Lesson two of the wonderful bat, the Count by Tapestry Fair shipped about a week ago.  In this lesson we stitched the spooky haunted house.  There's lots of detail in this panel.

I love the background stitch.

Thank goodness I have a stash of goodies.  I knew one day I would need those pumpkin buttons.  I know they are big and silly but they make me smile.

The twisted silver rings make the perfect frame for the upper window.

I'm working away on the third panel.  More surprises are in store.

If you haven't joined the fun, we have canvases in stock.  It's a pretty quick stitch with lots of crazy fun crammed into each panel.  You can order on-line by clicking here, or give us a call at 410.296.0405.

Silly Silly Birds

Oh how I love these birds.

They were so fun to stitch and just look at them now, back from the finisher.

Mine is the pillow, there's just a little going on there.  Sue's is the stand up with the bird feet!

If you would like to stitch these little guys for your very own, give us a call at 410.296.0405 or order here.

Introducing the Kringle Belles

Once Upon a Time there was a Princess so fair that her mother, the queen, suggested a series of holiday elf ornaments be created that she would love more than any in the land.

They must be special colors.

Super cute.

Fun to stitch.

So special.

The oh-so-clever EyeCandy, knowing she was favored by the queen and her minions was more than willing to oblige.

Sketches were done and wonderful stories wove around the elves.

The candy was gathered

The gifts were delivered

The tree was decorated!

Each elf is cuter than the next and now it's a wonderful trio of holiday fun.

Canvases are 6.5 x 9.5 stitch painted on 18ct.  There are smaller stand ups and hanging ornaments too.  You can see the entire series online here.

Happy Kringle Belle Day to all the land!

All those beautiful colors

The two things that attracted me to Sandra Vargas' Playful Squirrel as a mystery class were the squirrel's eyes and the beautiful colors in the background.  I love all the color changes and subtle variations.

Of course loving that means that I needed to create a fun open background so that we didn't lose all that beautiful painting.

I worked a blackwork pattern in spots on the background with one thread and then returned to add more layers of color with different threads over the top of the first layer.

Now there is all kinds of depth, shades and tones making a beautiful background for the leaves and berries to float upon.

I chose to work the pattern completely randomly to maximize the shading but you could also work the pattern across the entire canvas and then embellish on top.

The final lesson of this mystery isn't until September 7th, so if you would like to join us you still have plenty of time.  I promise, the needle felting isn't nearly as scary as you might think.

A little monster to brighten your day

Is this not just the cutest thing?

A brand new series from our own ryn!  Monsters!

These are friendly little monsters, sort of stuffed creatures to make you smile.  This is the first in the series ready to brighten your days at the beach.

I love her button eyes.  She's a petite 4.5 x 6.5 stitch painted on 18ct and complete with a stitch guide.

You can order her here, or by calling us at 410.296.0405.

Stay tuned, there are more monsters in our future.

Let's Have a Tea Party!

Sandra Vargas designed this wonderful Tea Party canvas that we just love.

Alice is here, the Lady Hatter and the Queen of Hearts!

We had to write a stitch guide for it, don't you think?

Canvas is complete with stitch guide.  It's a super fun stitch, just look at all those threads!

If you would like to have a tea party of your own, give us a call at 410.296.0405 or order online here.

Santa has arrived!

The fourth lesson of the Melissa Shirley Christmas Village has shipped to everyone in the Mystery Class!  I hope you like it.

The center house is now stitched and is over-the-top fun!  It's all about the trim that creates the snow on the roof.  If you follow me, you know by now that sometimes I have an idea in my head and it just has to be played out.  I saw this thread and knew I wanted it for the snow.  It's silly and fun and really makes that house pop.

Check out the beaded embellishments on the red border of the house.  I had so much fun creating those.  Love my beads.

We stitched Santa too with his bag, stocking and toys.

Your sparkly purple packages should be arriving any day.  Merry Christmas!
