Sparkle and Shine

Sparkle and Shine are two words that come to mind after spending the weekend with Laura Taylor.  It's all about her personality.  She is a California girl, all sunny and bright.

She incredibly talented and giving with her talents.  You want to bask in her warm personality.  Consider any opportunity that arrises to take a class from Laura.  You will not be disappointed.

This weekend Laura came to visit and taught a new design of mine, Pink Floral Collage.

There are two others in the series that could easily be stitched using similar fun stitches and techniques.  All are available on 18ct or 13ct.  You can order here, or give us a call at 410.296.0405.

Look at all these yummy threads and embellishments for the piece we stitched!

And all these happy students!

Each flower is a different fun and colorful stitch or technique.

One of the most exciting techniques involved Sparkles from Sundance Designs.
Love these little fluffy flowers!  You basically invert Sparkles into itself to create finished edges for the right side of the canvas and then seal the opposite ends with tape that will live behind your stitching.

Poke a really big hole in the canvas.

Insert the taped ends of the Sparkle  through the canvas and then......

give it a little squish and tack it in place.

Poof,  a flower is born!

As this was Laura's first visit to Bedecked and Beadazzled we captured her autograph on our magical autograph board.  So fun!

Thank you for coming, we'll see you soon Laura!
