Thank You XO

Thank you to all of you who have joined our Feline Follies and Canine Capers monthly clubs!
You are the best!

Thank you to Sheena James for writing awesome stitch guides that make these canvases even more special!

Thank you Rebecca Wood for the cute designs.

We have just donated $600 to the ASPCA!  Not too shabby for 3 months of stitching fun.  We'll donate more with  each canvas sold. With each stitch we are helping to end animal cruelty and homelessness.

If you would like to make your own donation click here.

Its not too late to join the clubs.  We're happy to have you.  Here are the clubs that allow your stitching to make a difference in animals lives.

Time to Fill the Stockings....

Ho Ho Ho.  December 23rd.  Its almost Christmas and definitely time to fill the stockings!

Our Partridge Stockings are back from the finisher and they are gorgeous!

We added faux fur cuffs for a bit of whimsy.

I bet you can't guess that the one with the leopard fur is mine :-)  Always a little different.

This was a super fun canvas to stitch. It's by Tapestry Fair and perfectly painted with fun areas great for stitches!  If you'd like to stitch your very own Partridge Stocking you can order online here or by calling us at 410.296.0405.

The reindeer are ready

Well, almost ready.  Yesterday was the final class of the reindeer collage mystery.

Our reindeer now has eyelashes!  and ornaments on his antlers!  So fun.  I still have a few more details to finish before sending it off to the finisher but I'm almost there.  It won't be long.

I love the ornaments.  They are simple and quick.  Brick Stitch beading to the rescue but with the addition of the gold rings and the bows on the ornament caps the ornaments really shine.

And since you know I love beads, the swirls and swooshes in the bottom border are beaded.

As are the gold bands on either side.

The pink and red stripes in the lower corner of the design are one of my favorite areas of the entire canvas.  The red stripes worked in Bound Cross in two different threads accents the Herringbone Stitch worked in ribbon!

All in all there's nothing too taxing in this piece just fun stitches and fun threads that stitch up quickly.  I'll finish it soon and post again.  Maybe the fat man will lend me an elf to finish it up.

Look What I Found!

As you can imagine, I am still unpacking.  Lots and lots of goodies from 8+ years of a brick and mortar store.  Oh My!

The good news is that I have found a few treasures......

We're doing pretty good at the unpacking and getting organized.  My goal is over the holidays to be able to glue myself to a chair and get Mystery's with a Twist back on track.  Why Fit In will be first followed by Christmas Village and The Row of Ladies.  Once I get the next lessons of these out we should be on a reasonable rotation.  Know that I love these projects and I love you.  I just simply scheduled way too much into my life.  I'm peddling as fast as I can.

Back to today's treasures.....  I have a small number, and I do mean small number, of Mini Stocking kits.  If you want them call now.  410.296.0405.  These are counted designs with lots of beads that finish into the cutest little stockings.

Amethyst Ice - -$50.00 - sold out

Crimson and Gold -- $49.00 - sold out

Emerald and Gold -- $49.00 - sold out

Pearls and Gold -- $49.00 - sold out

Patches of Snow.  This one is tiny, only 4" tall  -- $41.00

If you are interested, give us a call at 410.296.0405 and we'll send them right out.

Merry nine days until Christmas!

Adults Coloring

It's the latest craze.  Adults coloring to relieve stress or just to have fun.

The fun thing is that I see it all the time on Facebook.  Beadwork designers, knitters, needlepoint designers are all coloring.

Some are even designing things for us to color.

Check out Amy Bruecken's coloring pages.  Seasonal and fun just like her.

8 pages ready to color! $16.50

Kimberly doodles cards that look just like her canvases.  Or maybe her canvases look just like her doodles.  Either way, they are great fun.  Printed cards read for you to color or to give to a friend to color.  All cards are blank inside and are complete with envelope $17.60 set of 4

Give us a call at 410.296.0405 or order via the links above and start coloring! Happy Saturday!

More patches complete

We're rolling right along with the Reindeer Mystery Collage.  More sections are now complete.  It's shaping up.

The big reveal is the next lesson.  Cross your fingers.  I have an idea!!!

This week's class was all about pinks and reds.  Yes, the chocolate brown is addressed in this lesson but I'm not there yet.

There's lots of red sections on this canvas.  I chose a 3 part stitch and then played with the positioning of two of the threads in the stitch.  I wanted to experiment.  The photo above shows 024HL as the trame thread with 5505 as the accent.  The photo below reverses the position.  It amused me to see which showed up more.  Mind games.....

The main thread in the red squares is Gloriana Duchess Silk. It's my all time favorite thread for 13ct.  It fills the holes nicely.  I can use a long length without it wearing down.  It doesn't call every piece of cat fur in the house to come running.  And its beautifully over dyed.  There aren't a lot of colors but the ones that exist are yummy.

The pink stripes on the left are herringbone stitch worked with ribbon.  I love herringbone stitch and the ribbon gives it a lot of oomph.

There you have it.  Lesson three complete.  More to follow just in time for Christmas.

Merry Month of December.
